So, today Connecticut has decide to spare the life of all the people they have on death row.
Including the two men who killed and raped the wife and then raped both the 17 year old daughter and 11 year old daughter of Dr. William Petit of that state...
Then after murdering the wife and daughters, they set the bodies on fire, in an attempt to cover up evidence.
I'm am sorry, there are people who need a good killing.
The Connecticut Supreme Court did away with the death penalty because it was the "decent thing to do.."
Where was decency when these guys were raping and murdering?
These guys can get visits from their family, be able to attend college, celebrate holidays....something the Petit daughters will never enjoy.
I am sorry, but from time to time, the death penalty needs to be carried out.
I know there were people in the Texas Christian community who were upset when then Gov. George Bush did not commute the death sentence of Karla Faye Tucker after she " found Jesus " on death row...never mind she helped "finish off" a dying man with a pickaxe and then killed a woman with that same pickaxe. ( A lot of people think it was a death row conversion, to keep get her sentence changed to life in prison.)
Once again, it makes you wonder...just what the courts are thinking?
